At Afincáo, we’re dedicated to fostering growth, discipline, and artistry in every dancer. Our performance teams, led by Danny Alicea, offer an opportunity to train in a focused, supportive environment. With expert guidance, you’ll refine your technique, enhance your stage presence, and prepare for exciting performance opportunities.
Training Team
The Training Team is designed for dancers who want to strengthen their technique and become more confident social dancers without the added commitment of a performance team. Members rehearse once a week, with training focused on technique, partnerwork, and social dancing skills.
Student Team
The Student Team is perfect for dancers ready to push their limits in a team-oriented environment. With twice-weekly practices, you’ll work on technique, stage presence, and choreography while preparing for performances. This team is ideal for those who are committed to growing and building a solid foundation.
Semi-Pro Team
The Semi-Pro Team is for dancers who are serious about elevating their skills and performance ability. On this team, you’ll focus on advanced choreography, refining your technique, and preparing for professional-level performances. If you're ready to represent Afincao on stage, this team is for you.
Ladies Team
Our Ladies Team, directed by Lea Benites, brings NYC style training and energy to Afincao. With 9 years of experience dancing with Yamulee, Lea will lead dancers through focused training in technique, styling, musicality, and performance quality. This team is designed for women ready to challenge themselves, build confidence, and grow together in a supportive environment.
